£493.14 raised at Carol Service
'Carols by Candlelight' service at Staunton Harold Church on 8th December
The imposing Ferrers Chapel of the Holy Trinity built in 1653, known locally as Staunton Harold Church was the setting for this annual carol service. As always, it was beautiful and moving time with excellent singing by St Helen’s choir of Ashby de la Zouch.
A variety of readers took part, including a volunteer and trustee representing our charity. Carols and readings are a traditional start to the Christmas festivities. The Church was full and a very generous collection of £493.14 was received by Bright Hope in North West Leicestershire.
This generous amount will help with the running costs of Bright Hope House in Swannington, which is now due to open in January 2024.
