70th Wedding Anniversary Celebrations
On Wednesday 5th June, 24 guests and 7 volunteers gathered at our Coalville Support Café to celebrate Jean and Derek Horsman's 70 years of married life. The volunteers put on a super tea party and our cook at Bright Hope House made a lovely cake.
There was much chatter, with photos and sharing memories of times past including the fact that they flew to Paris for their honeymoon; a very adventurous start to their marred life. Jean and Derek had a wonderful week of celebrations following, with friends and family from all over the country.
They very generously asked for any gifts for them be given to Bright Hope in North West Leicestershire to support the work that we are doing in the area. These gifts amounted to a wonderful £770.
