Afternoon Tea at Bright Hope House - 21st May
Our first ever 'Afternoon Tea' event at Bright Hope House on Tuesday 21st May, was a wonderful, sold-out event which raised £507.50.
Our thanks go to:
- The very talented local ‘Roots’ Community Choir for once again entertaining us.
- Avril Wilson, who has just recently finished her term of office as Town Mayor of Ashby We were able to show our gratitude to her for choosing Bright Hope as her charity of the year whilst in office. Avril confirmed that an amount of over £4,000 had been raised, which is just amazing (more details on this soon)!
- Thank you to all the furniture movers, cake makers, sandwich spreaders, raffle contributors and tea serving volunteers and staff who provided plates of delicious sandwiches, scones and cakes to eat on the day, as well as the opportunity for everyone to purchase scrumptious homemade cakes to take home with them.
Most of all, a huge thank you to all our guests for supporting our very first Afternoon Tea at Bright Hope House. We will be arranging another similar event in the near future.
