Amazing Volunteers conquer the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

Amazing Volunteers conquer the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

We are so proud to announce that our two amazing volunteers, Jo and Delyth conquered the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on Saturday 4th May.

Just to re-cap, that the aim of the challenge is to walk the 24 mile route, which takes in 1,381m of ascent within 12 hours!

There are some photos of Jo and Delyth at the end of this article.

Here’s how they did it in their own words…….

“We did it!!! Starting off in the mist and persistent drizzle, to horizontal rain and the muddiest conditions the guide had ever seen at the summits! Needless to say, we took a few slips and tumbles but picked ourselves up and carried on. It was incredibly tough at times, but the amazing goodwill and generosity from everyone who has supported us and donated to our charity Bright Hope in North West Leicestershire gave us the determination to complete the challenge.

Our strength and stamina training at Fitness Republic paid off and enabled us to recover quickly.

Thank you for all your incredible donations, currently standing at over £1,500. There is still time to donate on our Just Giving page, we are grateful for every single one.”

Jo and Delyth xx
