Brown Court, Ashby make donation from tombola

Residents of Brown Court, Ashby recently held a party to celebrate Housing 21’s 60th birthday on Thursday 14th August. A lovely £70.00 was raised by the residents on a tombola, who agreed that the proceeds should be donated to Bright Hope in North West Leicestershire.

Housing 21 is a leading not for profit provider of Extra Care and Retirement Living for older people of modest means. Operating in 240 local authority areas, they manage over 23,300 properties and provide over 48,000 hours of social care each week. Brown Court, located on Atkinson Road in Ashby, is currently home to 15 people. 

Sharon Newman, local housing manager at Brown Court said “We were very impressed by the range of services on offer by Bright Hope and the positive effect they have on the lives of local people.  Bright Hope House has a calm, supportive atmosphere and we look forward to working together in the future.“

Ian Payne who is a resident at Brown Court and attends Bright Hope’s Day Care Service at Bright Hope House said “It is great the residents chose to support Bright Hope with this collection, the services I have received through the charity have really changed my life now and going forwards”.
