Civic Award presented to 'Tractor' Jim
Long time supporter of our charity - Jim Hoult was presented with a Civic Award by Avril Wilson the Mayor of Ashby at the Civic Dinner held at Willesley Golf club on May 4th.
Some 70 people attended what was Avril’s final event in her year as Mayor. Her chosen charity for her year in office also was Bright Hope for which she has raised approximately £4000. A huge achievement!
The highlight of the evening was the Civic Award from Ashby Town Council, which was given to Jim for recognition of his hard work and efforts in the community over many years. It was a very popular and deserved choice.
He, along with his wife Gill, who is now a Trustee of our charity, raised in excess of £30,000 over many years for Bright Hope (and Hospice Hope as we were known by).
