Fantastic Day at Jim's Tractor Run on Sunday 28th July

The annual Jim’s Tractor Run in liaison with Ashby Town Council took place once again on Sunday 28th July, and what a splendid day it was! The trac-tastic parade of well over a hundred tractors, farm vehicles young and old of various origins and other vintage vehicles, graced the crowd lined streets of Ashby De La Zouch on Sunday, culminating in the extravaganza on the Bath Grounds. Never short of spectators and supporters, the family fun day was once again a fabulous free event. With craft stalls, food and deli stations as well as a super variety of activities for children, everyone was catered for. This year saw a free mini steam train ride, not to mention the most ginormous tractor shaped bouncy castle alongside the usual fairground rides. Four legged friends were welcomed to enter the various classes in the annual dog show. The Bath Grounds was a hub of activity all day, with all generations enjoying a local day out.

A fantastic team of Bright Hope bucket collectors were at the event in their bright turquoise t-shirts. Staff, trustees and volunteers were joined by members of the Ashby Rotary Clubs and Coalville Belvoir District Lions Club on the day, covering the main entrance and exit points into the Bath Grounds. The generosity of the people on the day was quite amazing and we are thrilled to announce that we raised a magnificent £2,000.
