Lights of Love 2023
On 3rd December 2023 the charity’s popular Lights of Love event took place at the Ferrers Centre, Staunton Harold. Despite a cold and damp afternoon, over 250 people turned out to hang their tags on the beautiful Christmas tree in the courtyard, in remembrance and/or recognition of a loved one. A wonderful £1,702.00 was donated by supporters, which will rise when gift aid is claimed.
The service was led by Dr Rev Tim Philips, with a welcome from Mrs Avril Wilson, the Mayor of Ashby de la Zouch. Charnwood Brass played and accompanied the carols beautifully. Members of Concordia sang carols to all in attendance.
As always, we are indebted to the Ferrers Centre team and Estates Office in allowing us to hold Lights of Love on their premises.
This was our first big event since the charity rebranded to Bright Hope in North West Leicestershire and leads into a very exciting time in our history, as we expect to move into Bright Hope House, near Swannington, towards the end of January 2024.
