Wonderful Night at Trinity Church, Ashby
On Friday 1st March 2024, the Mayor of Ashby, Avril Wilson, organised another event for her charity of the year, Bright Hope in North West Leicestershire, which raised a fantastic £1,300 on the night.
This was wonderful concert performed by Gresley Male Voice Choir, who sang a hugely enjoyable selection of songs from the 19th Century, through the 60’s and right up to date. There was a variety of some excellent solos and duets too.
A large audience met in Holy Trinity Church, Ashby and their continuing applause at the end demonstrated their enjoyment.
The Mayor of Ashby, Avril Wilson, said a few words as did the Chair of Bright Hope in North West Leicestershire, Stewart Shepherd.
