Our Services

Our Vision

Our vision for the future is to grow and expand some of our services, to keep ensuring we can serve the local community and reduce our waiting lists, so that everyone can access the right support for them.

Our History & Today

Formerly known as Hospice Hope until October 2023, in 2012 it started by offering a weekly drop in support group (called a Support Café) in Ashby de la Zouch. Our President Emeritus, Stewart has put together a short document about the history of our charity - read our story here: History of our charity

The charity has grown from strength to strength and today successfully offers a wide range of support services including, 3 Support Cafés located in Ashby, Ibstock and Coalville; counselling, befriending, complementary therapy, wellness services and a new day care service. The Charity has recently changed its name to coincide with the opening of our new building - Bright Hope House, purpose built to be the charity’s headquarters and home to our support services.

Bright Hope House

Set in landscaped gardens with a large car park, including electric car charging points, Bright Hope House is situated on Talbot Lane, Swannington on land owned by North West Leicestershire District Council. Generously financed by Bloor Homes, including most of the fittings and furniture, Bright Hope House was built by A&H Construction and Development, Halesowen and was officially handed over on 9th February 2024.

Bright Hope House is home to our new day care service, accommodating up to 24 people three days a week, where guests can enjoy a range of activities and a hot meal at lunchtime, prepared in our own large kitchen and served in our warm and friendly day room.

Bright Hope House also provides smaller rooms for our counselling, complementary therapy and wellbeing services. There are quiet areas for people to use and a large reception area. Conference and function rooms, a hobby/ crafting room and workshop are also available, hosting a wide range of activities provided by ourselves and other local organisations.
