A Community Charity Focused on Change

Help us be the charity that changes North West Leicestershire with our range of non-clinical, therapeutic, and social care services.

Free, Vital Support For All

Supporting the young, the old, and everyone in-between, we’re your local lifeline for people with life limiting conditions or ones that lead to a reduced quality of life.

Whether our users need mental health help, physical therapy, social care or a holistic approach to their well-being, we believe cost shouldn’t be a barrier to care.

But we need your help to do that.

Completely Funded by Donations

We receive no statutory funding from any government body despite our pipeline being full of people who need help dealing with their challenges. Simply, without your kind contribution, Bright Hope wouldn’t be so bright.

Our Charity’s Services

Your Charity’s History

We’ve delivered vital free non-clinical, therapeutic, and social care services in North West Leicestershire since 2002, changing our name from Hospice Hope to Bright Hope in 2023 to coincide with a new building generously donated by Bloor Homes, and a new chapter in our story.

Bright Hope House

a Charity Recharged

Set in landscaped gardens with a large car park and electric car charging points, Bright Hope House is in the heart of North West Leicestershire on Talbot Lane, Swannington on land owned by North West Leicestershire District Council.

Generously financed by Bloor Homes, including most of the fittings and furniture, Bright Hope House was built by A&H Construction and Development, Halesowen and was officially handed over on 9th February 2024.

A home to our new day care service, accommodating up to 24 people three days a week and where guests can enjoy a range of activities, hot lunchtime meals, and a warm friendly day room full of conversation and connection, our new base for the community is packed with lifelines.

  • Smaller rooms host counselling, complementary therapy and wellbeing services
  • Quiet areas for reflection and wellness
  • A large reception area
  • Conference rooms
  • Function rooms
  • Hobby room

Be a Corporate Champion

Change lives in your local community through a one-off or monthly donation via your business. Regular donations mean we can uphold our ambition to transform the lives of your community neighbours who need it most.

Neighbours who need a chat, not more medication. Neighbours who need a massage, not a pain killer. Neighbours who just need an afternoon to themselves to reset after daily care of a family member with severe mental challenges.

Your monthly aid could change your neighbour’s lives. And change them for good.

Be a Friend

Make a monthly or yearly donation as a personal gesture, fuelling us with the financial firepower to help tackle loneliness, mental health issues, and physical impairments.

Helping us be there for people who need a caring ear but struggle to open up to their loved ones. Helping us be there for those who need a shower before they go to work because they’ve lost their home. Helping us be there for those who find it challenging to leave the house and go for a walk.

Helping us. Be there.

Vital Volunteering

Simply put, our team of volunteers are vital to everything we do. Without them, Bright Hope’s free range of non-clinical, therapeutic, and social services wouldn’t be possible.

Our counsellors helping people resolve issues through talking, our Befriending service helping combat isolation, and our complementary therapies helping people reset, refresh.

Our volunteers make all of it possible.

We’re honoured to be named the NHS charity of the year for primary care. Helping the sick, the isolated, and the vulnerable people in your community

We’re incredibly privileged to receive the King’s Award for Voluntary Service. A recognition that belongs to every volunteer, supporter and member of Bright Hope.

Mental Health

Unpacking the mind takes time, so whether your neighbours are dealing with depression, anxiety, or have recently lost a loved one, we sit, we chat, and we listen.

Physical Health

From muscular conditions to skeletal challenges, our therapies help relieve your people from discomfort and pain. Helping them return to their lives with a fresh lease of life.

Social Care

Parents needing welfare advice, people needing showers, or your neighbours looking for social interaction to lift their spirits, we foster that support so your community can push forward.

Help Us Help Others

With only 2 full-time employees we lean on the mighty power of our volunteers, but without your kind donations we can’t help your neighbours. So help us help others today and be part of the change, helping us build connection, hope, care in North West Leicestershire.

Donate today and help us deliver essential services to your friends, your neighbours, your family, to your people.
